ELDEN RING Reforged Compatibility: Online Mode

ELDEN RING Reforged comes with its own multiplayer client, connecting to a custom multiplayer server just
for Reforged players.

You are NOT at risk of bans from FromSoftware's official multiplayer at any time, as Reforged connects to a
completely separate server instance.

Reforged multiplayer has its own moderation, so cheating will be pursued, and bans from Reforged's server
handed out separately, to ensure a fair experience for all players.

We also reserve the right to dispense bans for any kind of abusive or exploitative online behavior that we
feel disrupts the game experience for others, especially cheating. Please exercise your conscience when
interacting with others.

HOW TO CONNECT

Simply run the "Online" launcher shortcut for your operating system (Windows or Linux).
The launcher will exclude any addons or DLLs which are not whitelisted for online play, and allow you
to connect to the server ingame.

COMBATING CHEATERS AND ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR
===================================================================

You may submit a ticket on our Discord when witnessing cheating and other unsavory behavior.

Using the Steam interface, you may view "Recent players" to track down recent players who have cheated in your session.
Please make sure to provide their profile, and a description of what happened (Ideally with footage), when submitting
your ticket.

You can also block the player on Steam, which will prevent them from matching with you again.

ADDONS AND DLLS

To ensure fairness, adding addons and DLLs to Reforged is more restricted in Online mode. If you wish to play
with a full set of additional mods, you have to use Offline mode instead, which lacks those restrictions.

In terms of addons, any files are incompatible which could possibly affect game balance, such as parameter changes,
animation changes, weapon models (due to controlling the size of hitboxes) et cetera.

In terms of DLLs, they are completely restricted based on a whitelist system. A select few versions of a select few
DLLs are whitelisted for online use, and any other DLLs are completely unavailable.

FPS unlockers are not permitted in online mode due to introducing latency bugs and unfair advantages, so when
an above-limit FPS count is detected, you will be removed from any active online sessions.
